Lisa Ramaci, Senior Cataloguer
Lisa Ramaci has been the Senior Cataloguer at Dawson & Nye since June
2007. She was a 2001 graduate of the American Arts Course offered at
Sotheby's, NY, where she won the Wendell Garrett Award for Excellence in
the Decorative Arts, and then worked in their American Furniture and Folk
Art Department for 5 years. Earlier, she studied in Europe at the
universities of both Heidelberg and London, obtaining a B.A. in History
and Art History, followed by an A.A. degree from Parson's School of
Interior Design. A native New Yorker and long-time Manhattan resident, she
has lived and traveled extensively in Europe, Southeast Asia and the
Middle East. She speaks fluent German and decent Spanish, is a member of
the New-York Historical Society and the Fraunces Tavern Museum, and admits
to beginning her collecting career with the purchase of some Revolutionary
War-era glazed marbles at an outdoor flea market more years ago than she
cares to remember.
